B Corp Certification
Socially and environmentally responsible business practices have been woven into the fabric of Bodhi Surf + Yoga since day one, and with each passing year, we are working to improve. In 2016 we became the first (and still to this day, only) surf and yoga camp with B Corporation certification. Then in 2020, we were honored to receive our second B Corporation certification for having met "rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency". Learn more how you can transform your business to benefit all people, communities and the planet.
1% For The Planet
Since August 2018, Bodhi Surf + Yoga has been a proud member of the global network of 1% for the Planet. Because the work we do is grounded in environmental stewardship it was an easy decision and a great way to amplify our impact. More than 2,000 businesses and individuals around the world are also part of the network. From small businesses like ours, to huge multinational companies like Patagonia, there is no shortage of diversity within the business community of 1% for the Planet. Committing to 1% for the Planet is a simple way for a company to show that they care about their impact on the world.
The Center For Responsible Travel
The Center for Responsible Travel (CREST) has been both inspiring us and supporting us for many years now. As Platinum Sponsors of CREST, Bodhi Surf + Yoga has been supporting their mission to promote responsible travel where local communities thrive and steward cultural resources and biodiversity. The organization provides evidence-based research and analysis to governments, policymakers, tourism businesses, nonprofit organizations, and international agencies to solve the most pressing problems confronting tourism, the world's largest service industry.
The Transformational Travel Council
A collective of global tourism stakeholders, the Transformational Travel Council (TTC) members refuse to skirt the challenging issues the travel and tourism industry faces. As the Central American Ambassadors, Bodhi Surf + Yoga provides training to the TTC to share practical tools and solutions for travelers and for the travel industry that dramatically advance goals for conscious, virtuous, and more prosperous travel. The TTC defines transformational travel as "intentionally traveling to stretch, learn and grow into new ways of being and engaging with the world."
