The Bodhi camp has been one of my favorite surf and yoga camps to attend. I first visited for two weeks in February and then again for three weeks in July 2021. The surf team members are attuned to participants' different surfing levels and are able to adjust their coaching style to support overall progress. As an intermediate surfer, my favorite part was it felt like I was just out surfing with friends but could immediately tell that my skills kept improving week after week.

The beach break at La Colonia beach is an ideal place to learn to surf. Most of the time the waves are perfect for beginners learning to surf--not too big, not too fast. During my week of surf camp I learned how to connect with the Ocean, with myself, and with a wonderfully warm group of people. Every morning I woke up looking forward to meeting with my instructors and the other classmates. The meals at Bodhi were so delicious and healthy. SURF CAMP FOR FAMILIES

Bodhi Family Surf Camp is our prime family vacation option, designed for families with kids under 18 years of age. Nothing unites a family like surfing together and sharing this amazing experience in the warm waves of Costa Rica. Surfing is the main activity, but there is also flexibility to add private family yoga sessions. There is plenty of downtime to hang out in the pool, lounge in the hammocks, or explore Bahia Ballena on your own. Transportation between San Jose and Bahia Ballena is included, greatly reducing the amount of stress for parents!

Bodhi Family is our family-friendly option, ideal for active and adventurous families who are looking to have a bonding family experience that balances fun-in-the-sun with learning.

Bodhi Awaken

BODYSURFING, OCEAN AWARENESS, SURF AND YOGA RETREAT

A unique, ocean immersive two-week retreat that features experiential learning opportunities, laughter, fun, and sun, as well as tools and inspiration for personal growth. In the first week, guests gain ocean awareness and comfort as they learn the "simplest" form of surfing - wave sliding or bodysurfing. On week two, guests take their skills one step further, learning to navigate the waves on a surfboard, as well as reconnecting to themselves with an invigorating yoga curriculum.
